Our first hosted BI conference and the best feedback.  Ritz Carlton Hotel was the location, where a perfect environment, great participation, an contingent topic and business oriented methodology were just part of the ingredientes that resulted in a perfect event.

During a full day activity, participants were exposed to the Kimball methodology or also called Business Dimensional Lifecycle. The main highlighted aspects of this methodology were:

• Focused on value added to the business throughout the enterprise
• Data dimensional structure, delivered through reporting and querying capabilities to the business
• Iterative development of the solution, throughout incremental cycles, instead of a big bang approach

Some BI myths were discussed like "BI serves aggregated reporting only, is not for detailed data level" or "we can avoid ETL and a Dimensional model if we have the right technology".  The topics were reviewed with real cases of the chilean industry and enthusiastically discussed by the audience.
